Endgame Overview
Last Updated:March 4, 2024|Change Log
Welcome to the Last Epoch Endgame Overview. There are currently three Endgame activities in Last Epoch: Dungeons, Arena, and the Monolith of Fate. Deciding which one is correct for you can be challenging as a new player, so here's a quick rundown of each one to get you on your way!
Monolith of Fate
Fairly early in the campaign players reach a central hub called The End of Time. Upon reaching it the Monolith of Fate becomes available by taking a portal on the east side. However, enemies start at level 58 so it may be wise to continue the campaign until you are strong enough to tackle the first Timeline.
Timelines are islands in the Monolith of Fate that provide their own web. Create a web by completing Echoes and working your way out from the starting hub, collecting rewards and Stability as you go.
Timeline quests can be completed after enough Stability is accumulated from completed Echoes. The third Timeline quest is the Timeline Boss, which after defeating unlocks the next Timeline. Entering the Monolith for the first time, players only have access to one Timeline. Complete that Timeline (by finishing the quest Echoes and killing the Timeline specific Boss) to open new Timelines. Each Timeline Boss offers its own Uniques and Blessings as rewards for conquering it!
Completing the top three level 90 Timelines unlocks empowered versions of all 10 Timelines. Empowered Timelines scale with Corruption infinitely. This allows you to test the true limits of your build while getting better drop rates and more experience the higher you go. To increase Corruption, you need to complete Echoes and expand your web until you find and defeat Orobyss.

Dungeons
Here's an endgame overview of the three Dungeons in Last Epoch: The Lightless Arbor, the Temporal Sanctum, and the Soulfire Bastion. Dungeons have two floors to complete before fighting the Boss, along with a unique mechanic only found in that Dungeon. However, to enter the dungeon first you must find a specific Key.
Each floor is a maze that has two doors hidden with options that increase difficulty and rewards if you walk through it. To make it through each map you need to utilize the Dungeon's unique mechanic. For Example, Temporal Sanctum gives you the ability to time travel between the Divine and Ruined Era. Switching between them opens and closes doors allowing you to progress through the map. After completing both maps, the final door puts you face to face with the Dungeon Boss, which after defeating leads to a room with the Dungeon's unique rewards.
In order to enter a Dungeon you need the corresponding Key(Lightless Arbor Key, Soulfire Bastion Key, Temporal Sanctum Key), which can drop in the campaign or other endgame systems.
The Lightless Arbor is recommended if you have tons of gold to sink into it. Use the Soulfire Bastion to earn Currency then gamble it with the Soul Gambler for a chance at good items. Lastly, The Temporal Sanctum is great for crafting Legendaries if you have both a Unique item with Legendary Potential and an Exalted item you want to combine with it!

Arena
The Endless Arena and the Arena of Champions (AoC) are both located in Champions Gate. Each can be accessed with one of two available Arena Keys:
- Using an Arena Keys starts the run from Wave 0 in Endless Arena or starts at Tier 1-4 Arena of Champions.
- An Arena Key of Memory starts from Wave 100 or half of your previous run, whatever is higher. It has no additional functionality for AoC.
Don't expect to find good Loot in the Endless Arena. However, there are some good Uniques you can farm off the Bosses in the Arena of Champions! The Endless Arena is the main competitive game mode. The ladder is ranked by how many waves you complete without dying. Get your name etched on the ladder for eternity by reaching higher than everyone else!
