- Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike, Esoteric Skill: Tiger Emerges, Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation and Esoteric Skill: Call of the Wind God are your main Spenders. They consume Esoteric Orbs to deal high damage.
- Lightning Whisper is your Crit Rate Synergy as well as a party-wide Attack Speed buff. It also deals Destruction and is one of your main Esoteric Orb generators.
- Sky Shattering Blow is your other main Esoteric Orb generator with a low cooldown. It also applies Crit Synergy, buffs your Atk./Move Speed, and is your Counter.
- Flash Heat Fang is a secondary damage skill with high Stagger and Destruction.
- Storm Dragon Kick is your main mobility tool. You can press it up to 3 times in a row.
Alternative Skill, Tripod, and Rune Options
Flash Heat Fang can be swapped for Sweeping Kick
- Higher damage per cast and higher Stagger, but longer cooldown.
Flash Heat Fang can alternatively be swapped for Esoteric Skill: Spiral Impact in high-specialization builds.
- Adds a 5th Spender which also serves as a Atk./Move Speed buff, but has relatively low damage. This build has stricter rotations and requires high Specialization.
- You should change your tripods in Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation to Flame Explosion, Great Explosion and Weak Point Detection. This is to have a smoother rotation.
Check the Rune Guide for more details on Runes and how to obtain them.
This build is optimized and meant to be used only in Chaos Dungeons. For Ebony Cube please use a Raid build.
- Esoteric Skill: Call of the Wind God is your main lesser monster clearing tool.
- Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation is a good front-cone skill that deals high damage to elites.
- Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike and Esoteric Skill: Tiger Emerges are your main Boss killers. Alternatively Ultimate Skill: Potent Heavenly Kickis also strong to kill the 2nd floor Boss.
- Lightning Whisper and Lightning Kick are your main Esoteric Orb generators. They're also good against lesser monsters.
Recommended Engraving Setup
While you can freely experiment with any engravings you want for this content, here's a recommended setup, based on the Engraving Support system:
- Preemptive Strike causes your attacks to deal immense amounts of damage to monsters that you haven't attacked yet, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
- Contender is a stacking Attack Power effect that increases in strength once you kill a monster, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
- Raid Captain provides damage based on your Bonus Movement Speed, synergizing well with the Buff Nodes scattered throughout Chaos Dungeons.
- Cursed Doll increases your damage with essentially no drawback in Chaos Dungeons.
- Esoteric Flurry allows you to make better use of Esoteric Orbs.
Gameplay & Skill Rotation
This build focuses on dealing quick bursts of damage while keeping consistent uptime on the enemy. To achieve this, Esoteric Flurry picks several Attack Speed buffs from skills and even stats. It's not a burst-heavy class like its counterpart Deathblow, but still gets to see some relatively big numbers.
There's no special interaction or activation in his Identity.
All attacks with a Back Attack affix receive +10% Crit Rate and +5% Damage when they land on the target's back-side indicator. It is important to position yourself accordingly as much as possible in order to take advantage of this.
Esoteric Flurry Striker receives 15/22/30% damage on Esoteric Skills thanks to its class engraving. It also makes all Esoteric Skills consume only 1 Esoteric Orb.

Basic Rotations
General Rotation
- Your main 3 spenders Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike, Esoteric Skill: Tiger Emerges and Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation should always be used during Lightning Whisper Crit Rate buff.
- Ideally the rest of the skills should also fit inside of this Crit Rate window, with Swiftness builds having an easier time.
- Blast Formation cooldown will desynchronize if you have flawless rotations, since it has longer cooldown than the other two. To avoid this, you can use it as your first spender but this may be dangerous if it forces your other two spenders outside of Lightning Whisper's buff windows.
General Rotation
( *)
- This rotation places Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation before Lightning Whisper as the delayed damage from the tripod choices allows most of the damage to fit inside Lightning Whisper's buff windows.
- * Esoteric Skill: Spiral Impact is ideally casted two times per rotation, but only after the opening rotation.
Stagger Check Rotation
- In longer stagger checks, you will need to rotate between all your skills. Remember you can also use a Whirlwind Grenade if you have one equipped!
Tripods and Gems
Tripod Levelling
Increasing the level of Tripods greatly enhances their effectiveness. You may only increase the level of 18 tripods at a time. Some of them cannot be leveled at all, or are left at level 1 - these tripods are omitted from the table, even if they are used. Here are the main tripods you should look out for in order to maximize this build's potential.
Skill | 1st Tripod | 2nd Tripod | 3rd Tripod |
Sky Shattering Blow | Blessing of the Wind | Abundant Resources
Flash Heat Fang | Master Hit | Final Strike
Storm Dragon Kick | Excellent Mobility
Lightning Whisper | Efficient Extortion
Esoteric Skill: Tiger Emerges | Enhanced Strike | Ascension
Esoteric Skill: Call of the Wind God | Growth Attack | Raging Storms
Esoteric Skill: Blast Formation | Flame Explosion | Focus Explosion | Final Explosion |
Esoteric Skill: Lightning Tiger Strike | Enhanced Strike | Weak Point Detection | Charged Kick |
Tripods written in bold text are your highest priority, make sure to level them first!

Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on in order to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.

Stat Priority
All stats work for Esoteric Flurry. The exact split is dependent on what playstyle you seek and meeting certain criteria.
- Specialization provides Esoteric Skill damage and Esoteric Orb generation. You should have at least 600 for 4 Spender builds, or 1400+ for 5 Spender builds. The more you have, the easier it is to generate Esoteric Orbs with single skills.
- Swiftness provides attack and move speed, as well as cooldown reduction. Increases DPS but requires high uptime to make good use of the cooldown reduction.
- Crit provides damage consistency and higher damage per cycle, but you don't want to go over 90% to have room for some Crit Rate Synergies.

Engravings
Engravings are a core part of your build. Typically, most engravings will be used at level 3, but there are some that can be used at level 1 or 2 in addition to the others, after reaching item level 1540 and unlocking Ancient Accessories.
Relic Gearing Build (5x3)

- Grudge
- Ambush Master
- Adrenaline
- Keen Blunt Weapon
Ancient Gearing Build (5x3+1)
- Esoteric Flurry
- Grudge
- Ambush Master
- Keen Blunt Weapon
- Cursed Doll
- Adrenaline Lv1
Engraving Explanations
Core Engravings
- Esoteric Flurry is the main engraving of this build. Can be run at Level 3 or Level 1, depending on your stats.
- Grudge increases damage done while also increasing damage received. The engraving is a highly effective damage increase without needing specific positioning, making it worthwhile even with the penalty.
- Ambush Master is a big boost to back-attack skills, which are most of your damage.
Add-on Engravings (Pick 2)
- Cursed Doll is a significant Attack Power increase at the cost of 25% healing. The healing penalty can be punishing for inexperienced players who are not familiar with boss mechanics, but it becomes easy to overcome with time.
- Keen Blunt Weapon is a good option at 82%+ Crit Rate, since you also receive Crit Damage from Entropy.
- Mass Increase can be an alternative in builds with at least 600 Swiftness, to counteract the penalty.
- Adrenaline provides an additional source of Crit Rate and Attack Power. It is fairly easy to upkeep. It's usually used at level 3 in builds with ~650 Crit (or less) stat.
- Raid Captain can also be used in Swiftness builds but it forces you to play around the Blessing of the Wind buff window.
Level 1 and 2 Engravings
- Adrenaline at level 1 is the optimal choice if you have 900+ Crit stat, or at level 2 if you have 800+ Crit stat.
- Esoteric Flurry can also be run at level 1 with low-Crit stat (~600) builds that require Adrenaline at 3.
Check out the Engraving Guide for more details.
Bracelet
Bracelets provide beneficial effects to yourself or to your party members depending on the rolls they have.
The primary goal is to get the main stats used by this build - Specialization, Crit or Swiftness. After that you should be aiming for Special Rolls to get more damage. Please note that this system is heavily reliant on RNG, and you should not expect to get much more beyond your main stats early on.
Optimal Bonus Rolls

Alternative Bonus Rolls

Elixir
The recommended Elixir Set for this build is Master. If you have or can guarantee more than 90% of Crit Rate, then Critical will be better.
Check out the Elixir Guide for more details and general stat recommendations.
Card Sets
Cards are an endgame system that helps maximize your character's damage. Here are the recommended card sets for this build.
- Deep Dive is used early on as it is fairly easy to obtain.
- Light of Salvation is the standard endgame option, but it can take a long time to acquire 30-piece Awakening.
- Kazeros's Legion Commanders is used as an alternative to Light of Salvation, in content where enemies have a weakness to Dark Damage.
- Fate of the Lazeniths + Three Umar Families is the best option for Striker. It's only worth to use with both sets at max awakening level. You need to have very good back attack uptime and make good use of the elemental damage buff for it to be as good or better than Light of Salvation.
- Three Umar Families combined with A Voice Calls with is used as an alternative to Light of Salvation, in Guardian Raid content exclusively.
Check out the Card Guide for more details on how to obtain cards and interact with them.
Early Game Damage Card Set
End Game Damage Card Set
Optimal Damage Card Set
This card set combination is only used by Strikers, and requires max awakening levels in all parts to be as effective as Light of Salvation. It also requires you to have very good back attack uptime and to try and fit most of your rotation (depends on your Swiftness) inside the Lazeniths proc.
Do not waste selector card packs or similar resources into unlocking this set, as it could gimp your progression in other characters.
