Merchant’s Guild Overview
Last Updated:July 7, 2024|Change Log
The Merchant's Guild is the Item Faction for players who wish to Sell the items they find out in the world, and Buy items with Gold and Favor. This is done through an auction house style system called the Bazaar.
Joining Merchant's Guild
Joining the Merchant's Guild requires a player to reach the Upper District of Maj'Elka in Chapter 9 of the Campaign. Do this by progressing through the main story up to that point, or use a Temporal Sanctum Key and defeat Chronomancer Julra to open a shortcut straight to Chapter 9.
Here the player interacts with Zerrick, who briefly describes both Item Factions and directs the player to their base of operations. The Merchant's Guild can be found at the Bazaar. Here you can speak to Nama, the Faction Leader, to join the Merchant's Guild.
Earning Merchant's Guild Rank and Favor
Earning Faction Rank and Favor is necessary to get the most benefits out of the Merchant's Guild. Your Faction Rank unlocks the ability to Sell and Buy items through an auction house style system called the Bazaar. A higher Faction Rank also opens up the ability to Buy higher qualities of items. Favor is used to list items to Sell, and also when selecting items to Buy.
Earning Merchant's Guild Rank
Your Rank with Merchant's Guild grows over time and determines what benefits you gain from them. There are two ways to raise your Rank. First, by gaining experience through defeating enemies or completing quests. The second way is by participating in the Merchant's Guild's main mechanic, trading through the Bazaar.
Your Faction Rank is never lost or spent and is shared account-wide. Characters in different game modes such as Standard/Legacy/Hardcore/Softcore have separate Faction Ranks.
Merchant's Guild has 12 total Ranks.
Earning Favor
Favor along with Gold are the main currencies you use when interacting with Merchant's Guild mechanics.
- Merchant's Guild: Use Favor to Sell and Buy items for Gold.
- You can spend Favor at the Faction Leader Nama to gain Reputation.
Favor is earned by slaying monsters, with the amount earned varying with the experience the monster rewards. Favor can also be earned by completing quests as well. The further you get into the game, the more you acquire.

Buying and Selling Items at the Bazaar
The Bazaar system is a way for Merchant's Guild players to Sell the loot that they find to other players, as well as Buy new items with their acquired Gold. As you gain Faction Rank, you open up options to buy higher qualities of items.
Buying Items
To begin looking for an item to Buy, you must first locate the vendor that offers the item type you are looking for. These vendors are spread throughout the Bazaar, showing what item types they offer with icons and descriptions above their heads.
Interacting with the vendor opens a window with items currently available to purchase. There are also filtering options at the top to narrow down what items are shown.
The listed items display the Gold and Favor costs needed to purchase the item.
Filtering Items
The Item Filter offered by the Bazaar has many options to narrow down what specific type of item you are looking for. These options include:
- Level Range
- Gold Cost
- Item Rarity
- Class Requirement
- Item Base Type
- Specific Affixes
- Minimum Tier of Affixes
- Forging Potential
- Legendary Potential
- Weaver's Will

- Open Suffixes
- Name of Unique or Set Items
Selling Items
In order to Sell an item, you can visit any vendor in the Bazaar and select List an Item. You can also find the option to List items at your Stall - which displays a list of all items you are currently Selling.
When you select an item to Sell, you are presented with an option to enter the Gold price you are asking for the item, as well as the Favor cost needed to place the item for Sale.
Unlike Buying Items, the ability to Sell all item types is immediately available upon joining Merchant's Guild.
