Nové dílo od Webera |
Tak se na Baenu objevilo první info o novém Weberove díle (píše ho s Lindou Evans). Dávám sem originální text.
In the almost two centuries since the discovery of the first inter-universal portal, Arcana has explored scores of other worlds . . . all of them duplicates of their own. Multiple Earths, virgin planets with a twist, because the "explorers" already know where to find all of their vast, untapped natural resources. Worlds beyond worlds, effectively infinite living space and mineral wealth.
And in all that time, they have never encountered another intelligent species. No cities, no vast empires, no civilizations and no equivalent of their own dragons, gryphons, spells, and wizards.

Prvni dojem |
Tak jsem prelouskal (no spis precetl) 12 sample kapitol na Baenu. Vypada to docela dobre.
Jedna se o stret dvou multiversovych (obdobne planety v jinych dimenzich) civilizaci, cestuje se portaly, obe civilizace kolonizovali planety a poprve narazili na nekoho jineho - jinak byly planety prazdne, az na zvirata - jedna a ta sama planeta se opakuje, napriklad suroviny na stejnych mistech, jen portaly jinde, portaly tvori retezy a vyjimecne ma planeta vic nez 2.
Stretnou se 2 pruzkumne tymy a nedorozumenim dojde k boji.
Jedna civilizace je magicka (mece, kuse, draci, magicti ptaci, leceni dotykem, spellware = instantni kouzla) a druha je technicka (USA kolonizace divokeho Zapadu - pusky, vlaky,parni stroje), ktera ma navic telepaty.
