Enchant Sorceress Leveling Guide
Last Updated:August 10, 2024|Change Log
With the Patch 2.6 ranged weapon Enchant buff, there is a new insane Fire build in town. While this Sorceress build has always existed to some extent, it has never been THIS strong. The Enchant Sorceress (aka Enchantress) uses Demon Machine to melt her enemies with powerful, piercing projectiles. Farming Spots such as The Secret Cow Level and Stony Tomb are left completely scorched by her Enchant imbued Attack, even in High Player Count! With Flame Rift, Flickering Flame, and Infinity no area is off-limits. Everything burns!
Enchant Sorceress is also one of the most iconic support builds. A high Skill Level Enchant enables brand new Characters to fast-level with Raven Claw for its missile Area of Effect (AoE). Make public leveling games with The Secret Cow Level portal open and use Enchant on anyone that enters. Enchant can also make other melee or ranged Physical builds (such as Frenzy Barbarian, Zeal Paladin, Strafe Amazon, and Multiple Shot Amazon) crazy strong. The massive amount of Fire Damage it adds to a Mercenary's weapon has interesting applications as well (see the "Nova Enchant" Build Variant). There are several fun and effective ways to incorporate Enchant into a build. Try them all if you can!
This build guide assumes you have a Character at Level 75 before transitioning to it. Check out our Sorceress Leveling Guide and our General Leveling Strategies to reach Level 75.

Sunder Charm Setup
The Sunder Charm Setup is the same as the Standard Build, using Flame Rift to farm anywhere in the game. It increases your damage against Fire Immune monsters. To optimize this Sunder Charm you need as much -% Enemy Fire Resistance as possible. Socketing Fire Rainbow Facets into your gear, equipping Flickering Flame, and equipping Infinity on the Mercenary also accomplishes this. Flickering Flame alone counters the negative effect of Flame Rift.
Terror Zones
The new Terror Zone mechanic combined with Sunder Charms open up a wide range of farmable areas. The following list highlights the best and worst Terror Zones for this build. With the Sunder Charm Setup, more Terror Zones become accessible. Learn more about Terror Zones here and see how they stack up in our Terror Zone Tier List.

Build Variants
Setup
The Starter Support Enchant Sorceress achieves a solid mid-level Enchant with easy to acquire gear. It is a buff-only setup that is designed to provide support to newly-made Characters in the beginning of a Ladder. Using Raven Claw for its missile Area of Effect (AoE), new Characters can fast-level while imbued with a strong Enchant. The Starter variant does a decent job of empowering melee and ranged Physical attackers in general. This gear can also be used to pre-buff the offensive Enchant Sorceress builds for a massive damage boost (see the "Standard Bow Enchant" variant and beyond). Items such as Leaf, Enlightenment, Volcanic Circlet, Volcanic Amulet, and other cheap + to Skills gear go a long way in making this build effective.
Mercenary
A Mercenary isn't needed for a Support Enchant Sorceress.
Skills
The Starter Support Enchant Sorceress setup is only concerned with boosting Enchant's on-hit Fire Damage.
Put 1 Skill Point into each of the following Skills:
1. Teleport
Max out the following Skills in this order:
1. Enchant
2. Warmth
3. Fire Mastery
Attributes
Allocate enough Stat Points into Strength and Dexterity to wear all of your gear. Put all remaining Stat Points into Vitality.
Setup
The Max Enchant Sorceress is a Support Enchant Sorceress that reaches the highest Fire Damage possible on Enchant. It is a buff-only setup that provides the maximum possible leveling support for newly-made Characters, maximum damage support for melee and ranged Physical attackers, and maximum pre-buff for offensive Enchant Sorceress builds (see the "Standard Bow Enchant" variant and beyond). +x to Skills/Fire Skills and/or x% to Fire Skill Damage gear such as Volcanic Eldritch Orb, Ormus' Robes, and Bul-Kathos' Wedding Bands make this variant possible. Use an Eschuta's Temper if you cannot acquire something approximating that crazy +6 to Enchant Orb.
Mercenary
A Mercenary isn't needed for a Support Enchant Sorceress.
Skills
The Max Enchant Sorceress setup is only concerned with maximizing Enchant's on-hit Fire Damage.
Setup
This is the Standard Best in Slot (BiS) Enchant Sorceress featured in the beginning of the guide. It is the balanced "jack-of-all-trades" version, capable of performing the most tasks well. Crush both Low and High Player Count alike! This Bow Sorceress carefully balances Damage, Magic Find, Defensive Stats, and Teleport mobility. It also attains 100% Piercing Attack between Razortail and Demon Machine for maximum penetration. Demon Machine is used for its high Attack Speed and Fires Explosive Arrows or Bolts stat (large Area of Effect damage). Flame Rift increases your damage against monsters that are Immune to Fire. This setup reaches the 105% Faster Cast Rate Breakpoint on Weapon-Swap for casting Teleport. See the "Max Enchant" variant for how to pre-buff for maximum damage on the Bow Enchant Sorceress.
Mercenary
The Standard Bow Enchant Sorceress uses an Act 2 Might Mercenary with Infinity for -85% to Enemy Fire Resistance from its Conviction Aura. Fortitude and Andariel's Visage socketed with a Ruby Jewel of Fervor maximize this Mercenary's damage and survivability.
Skills
Put 1 Skill Point into each of the following Skills:
1. Teleport
2. Energy Shield (Max Last)
3. Chilling Armor
Put 5-10 Skill Points into this Skill:
1. Static Field
Max out the following Skills in this order:
1. Enchant
2. Warmth
3. Fire Mastery
4. Telekinesis
5. Energy Shield
Attributes
Allocate enough Stat Points into Strength and Dexterity to wear all of your gear. Then, put a maximum of 100 Stat Points into Vitality. Finally, allocate all remaining Stat Points into Energy for a strong Energy Shield.
Setup
The Magic Find variant is the Bow Enchant Sorceress but with more Magic Find! Since the Bow Enchantress has no shortage of damage, she can comfortably stack a high amount of MF. This build makes use of Harlequin Crest, Ist Runes socketed into gear, Magic Find Jewelry, and Magic Find Charms to accomplish this. This setup is more efficient than the Standard Build at targeting Elites in Low Player Count (/Players1-3 in Single Player). It reaches the 105% Faster Cast Rate Breakpoint on Weapon-Swap for casting Teleport. See the "Max Enchant" variant for how to pre-buff for maximum damage on the Magic Find Bow Enchant Sorceress.
Mercenary
Just like the Standard Build, the Magic Find Enchant Sorceress uses an Act 2 Might Mercenary with Infinity, Fortitude, and Andariel's Visage socketed with a Ruby Jewel of Fervor.
Skills
Put 1 Skill Point into each of the following Skills:
1. Teleport
2. Energy Shield (Max Last)
3. Static Field
4. Chilling Armor
Setup
The Nova Enchant Sorceress is a specialized, max damage Nova Sorceress that casts maxed out Enchant on the Mercenary to make him deal as much damage as possible. In combination with a strong Nova, you can reliably one-shot Elites in Low Player Count (/Players1-3 on Single Player). "Telestomping" with this Fire Damage imbued Mercenary often results in one-hit-KOs, removing the need to cast Nova altogether (resulting in higher efficiency). This setup reaches the 105% Faster Cast Rate Breakpoint on its main weapon loadout for casting Nova and Teleport. See the "Max Enchant" variant for how to pre-buff for maximum damage on the Nova Enchant Sorceress' Mercenary.
Mercenary
The Nova Enchant Sorceress uses an Act 2 Might Mercenary for increased Jab damage. Equip him with Breath of the Dying, Fortitude, and Andariel's Visage/Guillaume's Face for as much DPS as possible!
Skills
The Nova Enchant Sorceress requires a different Skill Point allocation for a strong Nova.
Put 1 Skill Point into each of the following Skills:
1. Telekinesis
2. Teleport
3. Energy Shield
4. Frozen Armor
Put 5-10 Skill Points into this Skill:
1. Static Field
Max out the following Skills in this order:
1. Enchant
2. Warmth
3. Fire Mastery
4. Nova
5. Static Field / Lightning Mastery
Attributes
Allocate enough Stat Points into Strength to wear all of your gear. Put all remaining Stat Points into Energy to fully utilize Energy Shield.
Video Guide
Summary
- Enchant grants Fire Damage to melee and ranged Physical attacks. It can be used to boost your own attacks, those of your Mercenary, and those of Party Members. Builds such as Frenzy Barbarian, Zeal Paladin, Strafe Amazon, and Multiple Shot Amazon benefit greatly from a powerful Enchant. Newly-made Characters using Raven Claw can fast-level in games with a Support Enchant Sorceress (see Build Variants).
- In Patch 2.6, the combination of Demon Machine and Enchant is lethal, dealing more damage in many cases than a Fire Ball Sorceress. With Attack it pierces through through everything, destroying Low and High Player Count alike!
- Stack 100% Pierce (using Razortail on top of Demon Machine) and achieve the 105% Faster Cast Rate Breakpoint on Weapon-Swap if possible on the Bow Enchant Sorceress. These stats make this build feel a lot more powerful and a lot less clunky.
- With the help of Flame Rift, Flickering Flame, and Infinity on the Mercenary, the Bow Enchant Sorceress can efficiently farm almost any area in the game, including Terror Zones.
- There are many ways to build an Enchantress. Try em' all!
We hope you enjoy this build! Burn through hordes of enemies; the crossbow meltation is real! Boost melee and ranged Characters to the max!
Good luck!
