Welcome to the Guardian guide for Throne and Liberty! Guardians are special transformations with long cooldowns. These transformations have various effects that can cover many different situations. By the end of this guide, I hope that you can say with confidence that you know everything there is about the Guardian system in Throne and Liberty!
Types of Guardians
While Guardians are a transformation, none of your skills are replaced. Guardian transformations last for 30 seconds or until certain conditions are met. Below is a list of Guardians, their effects, what some of them look like, and where you can get them.
Shade Revenant Stheno
Shade Revenant Stheno is a very popular Guardian choice among DPS players in PvE due to its wide range damage, high DPS output, and ease of use. When activated, you launch 5 projectiles at random enemies within a 10m radius. Enemies may be hit more than once by these projectiles. Each projectile does 52% of Base Damage and adds skill effects such as Inject Venom.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in the Ruins of Turayne section of Laslan.
Lady Knight Kamarshea
Lady Knight Kamarshea is a popular Guardian choice due to providing both offense and defense. When activated, Lady Knight Kamarshea provides a shield for 50% of your max Mana. While shielded, you also gain 40% Cooldown Speed. Once the shield is broken or 30 seconds have passed, the transformation ends. It's an ideal choice for PvP because of the defensive utility the Guardian provides.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "Elemental Tree Harvest: Daybreak Shore" in the Daybreak Shore section of Stoneguard.
Green Ranger Elowen
Green Ranger Elowen is a solid Guardian choice in PvP for any frontline Tank. When activated, there is an 80% chance to Bind all targets within a 4m radius for 5s. As long as the transformation remains active, your Critical Hit Rate against Slowed or Bound targets is increased by 500.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "Elemental Tree Harvest: Nesting Grounds" in the Nesting Tree Grounds section of Laslan.
Brutal Warrior Valkarg
Brutal Warrior Valkarg is a Guardian that most players opt to not use due to there being better options. When activated, you store the damage you take up to 4,000% of your max Base Damage. When inflicting a Stun, Bind, or Sleep you deal 25% of this damage to the enemy.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "Desert Plunderers" in the Monolith Wastelands section of Stoneguard.
Pale Nemesis Hartach
Pale Nemesis Hartach is a niche choice Guardian that fits an assassination playstyle. When activated, stealth if your target dies within 3s. This stealth lasts for 5s during the day and 7.5s at night. Your first attack while stealthed is a Critical Hit.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "Farewell" in the Ruins of Turayne section of Laslan.
Vampire Slayer Ezekiel
Vampire Slayer Ezekiel is a popular Guardian choice among tank players due to its defense buff and its damage that scales with Max Health. When Activated, increase all defense by 400 and deal damage equal to .6% of your Max Health to hostile targets within 2.5m. You also restore Health based on 20% of the damage dealt.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete "Pledge Loop" in chapter 5 of the Adventure Codex "A Sacred Pledge of Blood".
Masked Warlock Dantalux
Masked Warlock Dantalux is a solid Guardian choice for Support players. When activated, you recover 26% of the Mana used. Your nearest ally recovers 53% of their Mana used.
To acquire this Guardian, you must complete the Codex Quest "The Voice Behind the Mask" in the Sandworm Lair section of Stoneguard.
