The Omnioculus Void Hunter Build remains a reliable choice for endgame content, including Grandmaster Nightfalls.
- High ability uptime
- Easy overshields and invisibility
- Tether weakens and suppresses enemies
- Stat dependent
- Passive playstyle
Gameplay Loop
This build revolves around Invisibility and building ability regeneration for your Snare Bomb.
- Position yourself near one or more allies and activate Quickfall to expend your melee charge and dive to the ground. Check your Trapper's Ambush Aspect for the button bound to Quickfall.
- Enemies caught in the resulting smoke cloud are Weakened and Disoriented, while allies become Invisible and gain 50% damage resistance. With Omnioculus, you also receive 50% Melee Ability Energy for each ally made Invisible.
- Clean up the Weakened enemies using your Void weapon to generate Orbs of Power with Harmonic Siphon. Collecting these Orbs builds Armor Charge, accelerating your Grenade cooldown with Grenade Kickstart.
- Throw your Vortex Grenade at tougher enemies to Weaken them for your fireteam.
- Whenever you don't have full melee charge, Gambler's Dodge near enemies to refund your Snare Bomb and go Invisible.
- Repeat this cycle. The Omnioculus Exotic Chest elevates your Void Hunter's already powerful toolkit by extending your Invisibility uptime with an additional Snare Bomb and incredible melee ability regeneration.
Ability Breakdown
Super
- Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver
- Fire two volleys of three Void Arrows that seek out enemies. After a 1-second delay, each Void Anchor activates, applying Weaken, Suppress, and Volatile, increasing enemy damage taken by 30%.
Abilities
- Gambler's Dodge - Dodge near enemies to immediately refund your Snare Bomb.
- Triple Jump - Use the jump you prefer.
- Snare Bomb - In this build, Trapper's Ambush transforms our melee into a Quickfall that leaves a smoke cloud behind, damaging and Weakening enemies.
- Vortex Grenade - This grenade pulls targets inward and Weakens them with the fragment Echo of Undermining.
Casting an ability or shooting a weapon breaks invisibility!
Aspects
- Trapper's Ambush - Consumes your Snare Bomb to give you and nearby allies Invisibility, as well as makes nearby enemies Weakened.
- Vanishing Step - Dodge to go Invisible.
Both aspects provide on-demand Invisibility—Vanishing Step through dodging, and Trapper's Ambush with a Quickfall dive (your subclass menu shows the button binding for each).
Fragments
- Echo of Undermining - Your grenade now Weakens targets.
- Echo of Harvest - Defeat Weakened targets to create orbs of power and a Void Breach. Picking up Orbs grant you Super energy, and Void Breaches grant you dodge energy.
- Echo of Starvation - Picking up an Orb of Power or a Void Breach grants you Devour. While Devour is active, final blows restore health, grant grenade energy, and extend the duration of Devour.
- Echo of Persistence - Void buffs applied to you have an extended duration. This extends the duration of Devour and Void Overshields by 50% and the duration of Invisibility by 40%.
Gearing
Required Gear and Weapons
Omnioculus – This Exotic grants an additional Snare Bomb charge and refunds half a charge when you make an ally Invisible (a full refund if you make 2 or more allies Invisible). It also provides 50% damage resistance for you and your allies while Invisible. Omnioculus on a Void Hunter is an easy way to amplify both your abilities and your team's survivability.
WARNING: Beyond Light DLC is required to unlock the Omnioculus Exotic armor piece.
How to acquire:
- Decrypt exotic engrams at Rahool
- Farm the expert Lost Sector on Chest Armor days.
- Complete the Vex Strike Force Public Event on Neomuna.
Stat Priorities
- Resilience, then Mobility, and then Strength.
- Resilience is the most crucial stat to focus on. Aim for 100 Resilience to maximize your damage resistance and shield capacity, ensuring better survivability in challenging encounters.
- Mobility reduces your dodge cooldown allowing you to recharge your Snare Bomb with Gambler's Dodge.
- Strength reduces your melee cooldown. Dodging near enemies can refund a melee charge, but it's helpful to have high Strength in harder activities where you can't always be near enemies. If your Snare Bomb is recharging frequently, consider shifting some of your stat priority to Discipline to improve your grenade recharge rate.
