Welcome to the Osmiomancy Gloves Stasis Warlock Build Guide! Harness the chilling power of Stasis to dominate the battlefield by Slowing, Freezing, and Shattering enemies for incredible crowd control.
At the heart of this build is the Exotic Osmiomancy Gloves, which grants you an additional Coldsnap Grenade and reduces its cooldown on direct impact, allowing for near-constant grenade use. With the Bleak Watcher Aspect, your grenades can also be transformed into powerful Stasis turrets that Slow and Freeze enemies, a welcome addition to any fireteam. To support the playstyle, this build includes many ways to regenerate your grenade energy through weapon and armor mods.
As you Freeze enemies, Stasis Shards are created around the target thanks to Glacial Harvest, and when collected, these Shards reduce your melee cooldown, further contributing to your ability regeneration with Impact Induction. Collecting Orbs of Power to build Armor Charge also helps generate grenade energy with Grenade Kickstart.
Although this Stasis build requires specific gear and mods to really shine, once complete, it offers unparalleled control over the battlefield and is incredibly rewarding to play. There are many different weapon Variants of this build, so pick and choose the setup that works well for you!
WARNING: Access to the Witch Queen DLC is needed to unlock the Osmiomancy Gloves Exotic armor piece. Access to the Shadowkeep Pack is needed to unlock Leviathan's Breath.

Gameplay Loop
- Start the gameplay loop by charging your Coldsnap Grenade to throw out a Bleak Watcher turret that shoots projectiles at enemies and inflicts Slow. If a target is hit by enough of these projectiles, they Freeze.
- When heavily damaged, Frozen targets Shatter, dealing damage around them. Whisper of Fissures increases the size and damage of this blast.
- Use your Healing Rift to stand your ground and reduce your grenade cooldown with Bomber. This also activates Reaper.
- Secure a double kill with Bold Endings to drop Orbs of Power. This gives you Armor Charge stacks before you throw your next grenade, triggering Grenade Kickstart. Always be on the lookout for Orbs to pick up.
- Weave Coldsnap Grenades in between your Stasis turrets. Throw these grenades into groups of enemies to instantly Freeze and chain to other enemies. Direct hits recharge your grenades quicker thanks to Osmiomancy Gloves.
- Defeat enemies with Demolitionist weapons to generate even more grenade energy. Precision kills with Headstone spawn Stasis Crystals. Shattering these increases grenade energy regeneration from Whisper of Shards enabling you to continue throwing out Bleak Watchers and Coldsnap Grenade.
- Shoot Forthcoming Deviance into a group of enemies. Final blows with Destabilizing Rounds makes the rest of the group Volatile. Further damage from Bleak Watcher turrets cause Volatile targets to explode.
- While it struggles against bosses, your Super, Winter's Wrath, creates some serious space when you need it. Apply Freeze on contact with its primary attack and Shatter all surrounding Frozen targets with the secondary attack.

Super
- Winter's Wrath
- Conjure a Stasis staff and fire a barrage of Stasis shards that Freeze enemies on impact. The secondary attack of this Super ability shatters all surrounding enemies afflicted with Freeze. Great for ad control but not for boss damage.
Abilities
- Healing Rift - When inside of the Rift, you and allies are healed for 40hp per second. When you are at full health, this is converted to an over shield. Use your Rift frequently to generate grenade energy with Bomber.
- Burst Glide - Choose any jump ability.
- Penumbral Blast - Sends out a short-range projectile that applies Freeze to targets on impact. Use your melee frequently to generate grenade energy with Impact Induction.
- Coldsnap Grenade - This is the only grenade ability that interacts with Osmiomancy Gloves and is mandatory. These can either be thrown as a grenade or charged up to create a Bleak Watcher turret.
Aspects
- Bleak Watcher - Charge your Coldsnap Grenade to convert it into a Stasis turret, firing projectiles that apply Slow on impact. If enough of these projectiles land, the target is Frozen.
- Glacial Harvest - Freezing targets creates Stasis Shards. Collecting Stasis Shards grants melee energy that in turn generates grenade energy with Impact Induction. Collect Stasis Shards and gain up to five Frost Armor stacks, providing 22.5% damage resistance at max stacks.
Fragments
- Whisper of Fissures - All Frozen targets and Stasis Crystals deal increased Shatter damage.
- Whisper of Shards - Create Stasis Crystals with Headstone. Shattering a Stasis Crystal grants 500% additional base grenade regeneration rate. Additional time is added to this buff for every crystal Shattered, capping at 11 seconds.
- Whisper of Torment - Gain grenade ability energy every time you take damage from enemy targets. The amount is increased when you have Frost Armor which is easy to earn on this build by picking up a Stasis Shard.
- Whisper of Conduction - Nearby Stasis Shards track to your location.

Required Gear and Weapons
Osmiomancy Gloves - Provides an additional Coldsnap Grenade charge. Direct impact from your grenades increases grenade ability regeneration. Seekers spawned from Coldsnap Grenades travel further and faster.
WARNING: The Witch Queen DLC is required to unlock the Osmiomancy Gloves Exotic armor piece.
How to acquire:
- Complete the Witch Queen campaign on Legendary difficulty.
- Farm the expert lost sector on Arms armor days.
- Complete the Vex Strike Force Public Event on Neomuna.
Stat Priorities
- Resilience > Discipline > Recovery.
- Resilience is the most crucial stat to focus on. Aim for 100 Resilience to maximize your damage resistance and shield capacity, ensuring better survivability in challenging encounters.
- Discipline decreases the cooldown on your grenade ability, allowing it to charge faster.
- Recovery governs the cooldown on the Warlock's class ability and decreases the time it takes to regenerate your health and shields.

Artifact Perks
- One with Frost - While Frost Armor is active, Stasis weapons gain increased reload speed and stability.
- Fell the Revenant - Deal increased weapon damage to Scorn which are plentiful in Episode: Revenant.
- Total Carnage - Finishing enemies grants damage resistance!
- Debilitating Wave - Finish an enemy to emit a damaging Stasis wave. Work towards unlocking the BOOST for this Artifact Perk to apply Slow with this wave.
- Brain Freeze - Frozen combatants become surrounded by chilling fog, which Slows combatants that aren't already.
- Served Cold - Picking up a Stasis Shard grants you class ability energy.
Recommend Weapons
Prioritize weapons with Demolitionist. Glaives, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, and Fusion Rifles grant 20% grenade ability energy on kill while every other weapon with Demolitionist only grants 10%.
Kinetic Weapon: Bold Endings - One of the few weapons that can roll or be crafted with Demolitionist and Headstone, both of which generate grenade energy. Shatter a Stasis Crystal from Headstone to activate Whisper of Shards. Access to the The Final Shape DLC is needed to unlock Bold Endings.
Energy Weapon: Forthcoming Deviance - In addition to Demolitionist, this Glaive rolls or can be crafted with Destabilizing Rounds, which synergizes perfectly with your Stasis turrets. Kills apply Volatile to surrounding enemies and further damage causes an explosion. Access to the The Final Shape DLC is needed to acquire Forthcoming Deviance from Salvation's Edge raid.
Power Weapon: Leviathan's Breath - This Heavy Exotic Bow is great for boss damage and also stuns Unstoppable Champions. Access to the Shadowkeep Pack is required to obtain Leviathan's Breath.
Variants
Ability Swaps
- Swap Whisper of Shards for Whisper of Bonds if you don't have the Headstone weapon perk.
Gear Swaps
- Equip the recommended Armor Mods you see on the right if you haven't masterworked your armor yet. These only require 4-5 energy and help with grenade ability regeneration, which is key to the Osmiomancy Gloves Warlock gameplay loop.
- Swap Bold Endings for Riptide, another weapon that can provide 20% grenade energy regeneration on kill with Demolitionist.
- Earn Riptide from Crucible Engrams.
- Swap Forthcoming Deviance for The Recluse with Destabilizing Rounds. Use this Submachine Gun to apply Volatile.
- Farm for The Recluse from the Onslaught activity in the Vanguard playlist.
- Swap Leviathan's Breath for Tractor Cannon. This is one of the first Exotics you acquire on the Cosmodrome and is an excellent Shotgun to support your fireteam. Its short-range blast knocks enemies back, Suppresses, and Weakens them.
Ability Swaps
- Swap Whisper of Conduction for Whisper of Durance. This extends the duration of your Bleak Watcher turrets from 25 to 30 seconds helpful in endgame content.
- Swap Whisper of Torment for Whisper of Rime to extend your survivability.
Gear Swaps
- Swap Bold Endings for Wicked Implement with Headstone from the Catalyst to boost your grenade recharge rate when you Shatter a Stasis Crystal with Whisper of Shards. This Exotic can also Slow and Freeze with Precision hits, so it's very effective against Champions.
- Using a Glaive like Forthcoming Deviance provides additional survivability with the shield that you can activate by aiming down sights.
For Boss Damage
- Equip threeVoid Weapon Surge armor mods on your Chest. Then equip two Time Dilation armor mods on your Class Item.
- Swap Wicked Implement for Izanagi's Burden and swap Forthcoming Deviance for any Legendary Void weapon.
- These gear swaps, along with the Armor Mod swaps above, give you a powerful burst DPS option to add to your damage rotation with Edge Transit and it's perk Bait and Switch.
- Izanagi's Burden requires the Forsaken DLC Pack to unlock.
