Prismatic Fragment Locations

In The Final Shape, Guardians unlock the Prismatic subclass and its 21 Prismatic Fragments. Five of these Fragments are unlocked alongside the Subclass and three more are rewarded during the Campaign, requiring no extra steps to unlock. The remaining 13 need to be located in the wild on the Pale Heart, locked inside Prismatic chests. This guide shows you how to find these chests and how you can unlock each one!

Facet of Bravery
The first of the Prismatic Fragments is found in the fifth story mission, The Ascent.
In the early stages of the mission, you find yourself climbing up a snowy mountain. About halfway up the mountain, there is a fuselage of a wrecked plane. Jump down and go to the right to a lower portion of the hull to locate the chest containing the Facet of Bravery.
Facet of Devotion
Towards the end of the sixth story mission, Dissent, you fight a Scorn Boss named the "Pillar of Devotion".
Once you have defeated the boss, an escape sequence begins as staircases and bridges between more stable locations start to collapse underneath you. Following the quest marker, you quickly approach a building with several short pillars, where you would normally take a sharp right to continue your escape. Don't do that.
Instead, go straight ahead until you reach the end of the short tunnel of pillars - The Prismatic Chest containing the Facet of Devotion waits for you here.
Facet of Sacrifice
The last Campaign related Prismatic Fragment is found in the final mission, Iconoclasm.
Near the end of the mission, you climb up the outside of a large structure until you spot a large window overlooking the entire map. Turn around to find a room with a sliced Warbeast statue and 2 pathways to continue through the building.
From the Warbeast, turn left to find a small room with a closed doorway. Up and to the right of this door is a small hole in the corner of the wall that you can jump up to and clamber through. At the end of this tunnel, a Prismatic chest lights up the darkness, and inside is the Facet of Sacrifice.

Facet of Solitude
The Prismatic chest containing the Facet of Solitude is locked and requires you to create Memory: Impassive Darkness to open.
Complete corrupted chest events around the Pale Heart to collect Memory Vestige: Darkness, five of these create a random Darkness Memory for a Prismatic Chest you have not opened yet.
Once you have Memory: Impassive Darkness, head to the Impasse landing zone and go to the circled area on your map. All the way to the left of this temple area is a ledge you can look over to locate the chest and claim your Prismatic Fragment.
Facet of Honor
Similar to the previous fragment, Facet of Honor is locked and uniquely requires Memory: Divisive Darkness to open.
Complete corrupted chest events around the Pale Heart to collect Memory Vestige: Darkness, five of these create a random Darkness Memory for a Prismatic Chest you have not opened yet.
Once you have Memory: Divisive Darkness, start at the Impasse landing zone and head West towards the Divide. Climb to the top of the mountain to the location marked on your map. Look over the right edge of the large structure to spot the Prismatic chest below.
Facet of Dominance
To unlock this Fragment, you need Memory: Seclusions of Light.
Light Memories require Campaign completion, since Micah-10's Cysts quests are involved. Enemies within Cysts drop Memory Vestige: Light, and collecting 5 of these creates a random Light Memory for a Prismatic Chest you have not opened yet.
Once you have Memory: Seclusions of Light, head to the area marked within The Seclusion marked on your map. Spot a waterfall near Zavala's cabin and climb to the top near a fallen tree. Here is the Prismatic chest containing Facet of Dominance.

Facet of Awakening
To unlock this Fragment, you need Memory: Refractions of Light.
Light Memories require Campaign completion, since Micah-10's Cysts quests are involved. Enemies within Cysts drop Memory Vestige: Light, and collecting 5 of these creates a random Light Memory for a Prismatic Chest you have not opened yet.
With Memory: Refractions of Light in hand, start at the Blooming landing zone and head to the marked zone on your map in the Refraction. Once you come to an open area, look up for some ledges and branches. Atop one of the highest branches is a Prismatic chest, and inside is the Facet of Awakening Prismatic Fragment.
Facet of Generosity
To unlock this Fragment, you need Memory: Blooming of Light.
Light Memories require Campaign completion, since Micah-10's Cysts quests are involved. Enemies within Cysts drop Memory Vestige: Light, and collecting 5 of these creates a random Light Memory for a Prismatic Chest you have not opened yet.
The Memory: Blooming of Light shard takes you to a marked location on your map near the Blooming landing zone. At the roots of a large tree, you should spot a Prismatic chest containing Facet of Generosity.
It's important to note that the chests that require Memory Vestige: Light and Dark cannot be seen until you have acquired their respective Memory items. The Memory Vestiges are automatically converted into the legendary counterparts once you have collected 5 of them.
Facet of Command
Land at the Impasse and head towards the Divide until you find a chest that requires the Divided Prismatic Key. Across from this chest is a small room accessible by jumping through the windows. Inside are 2 Fallen energy depots covered in ice, a Scorch Cannon generator, and a pile of ice. Grab a Scorch Cannon and break all of the ice in the room. Destroying the ice piles drops an Arc charge. There are more ice piles spread out throughout the zone with other charges inside which you need to destroy.
The goal of this puzzle is to charge the 2 energy depots with exactly 10 bars of energy. No more or less. Destroying all ice piles yields you 7 elemental charges to distribute amongst the energy depots:
- Arc charges are worth 2 bars of energy
- Solar charges are worth 3
- Void charges are worth 4
To complete this puzzle, deposit 2 Solar and 2 Arc charges into one energy depot. Deposit 2 Void charges and 1 Arc charge into the other energy depot.
Completing the puzzle causes a group of combatants to spawn, the boss combatant among them drops the Divided Prismatic Key used to open the chest and collect the Facet of Command.
Facet of Defiance
Head towards the Transgression area after landing at the Impasse and stick to the left once you reach a wide open area. You should spot a cave with a Darkness node at the entrance. Shooting this node gives you the Shielded from Darkness buff letting you go deeper into the cave.
Follow this cave to the end and you should spot the Prismatic chest, requiring the Transgressive Prismatic Key. Activate the nearby node to start the encounter and spawn in shielded enemies named Souls of Suffering. To remove their shields, walk through the cave to find and destroy Taken eyes, aptly named Eyes of Suffering.
Repeat walking through the cave to kill the Eyes of Suffering until all of the Souls of Suffering are defeated. Back at the chest, activate the node once more to start a short battle. Fight waves of enemies until you are met by a Tormentor which drops the Transgressive Prismatic Key upon defeat, use it to unlock the chest containing the Facet of Defiance.
Facet of Grace
Land at the Lost City and head down towards Micah-10. To their right is a small opening, you can climb down to get to the Outskirts. You want to head back as far as you can while sticking to the right side of the map.
Inside an open building is a Prismatic chest that requires the Elevated Prismatic Key. A Weaver spawns in front of this chest and when defeated, a message appears in the activity feed: "First Omen Defeated." return to the central area and go left this time. Another Omen is here along with a group of enemies to destroy. Doing so causes "Second Omen Defeated" to appear in the feed.
Double back once more, heading left over a series of red platforms to find the third Omen with a group of flying Grim. Once defeated, you should hear a Tormentor spawn which waits for you in the central area. The three Omens are back alongside this Tormentor.
Kill the Omens again to remove the Tormentor's shield. Defeat the Tormentor and collect the Elevated Prismatic Key to unlock the Prismatic Chest where you found the first Omen. Inside this chest is your new Prismatic Fragment, Facet of Grace.
Facet of Justice
From the Landing in the Pale Heart, head out and to the left through a cave. Eventually, you reach a large room covered in blue crystals with a Prismatic chest at its center. Behind this chest are three Hive runes that need to be cleansed. Remember those Hive runes!
On the balcony, there's a Solar crystal that needs to be picked up. When collected, more Hive runes spawn around the room, each corresponding to a brazier behind it. You need to deposit the Solar crystal into the three Hive runes you saw at the start. Jumping down from the balcony removes these runes so either keep yourself perched or invite a fireteam member to assist you in spotting the correct runes.
After you deposit 3 Solar crystals into the correct braziers, "It is here" appears in your activity feed, and waves of enemies start to spawn. Killing these enemies spawns two Prismatic shielded minibosses that drop the Refracting Prismatic Key after being defeated. Use this key to unlock the Prismatic chest containing Facet of Justice.
Facet of Mending
The final Prismatic Fragment is found where you first started your adventure in the Pale Heart. From the Lost City, head towards Micah-10 and back to the Outskirts. You are looking for 4 wounded Ghost shells. When you're near them, your Ghost makes an audible ping. Pull out your Ghost - he looks in the direction of the nearby wounded Ghost.
- The first Ghost is found on top of a red banner attached to a building straight across from where you entered the courtyard.
- Turn around and head to the left past a Daito sign and down some stairs with an orange railing. On top of some boxes is the second wounded Ghost.
- Head across the platforms towards a waterfall and enter the door near it. Through these corridors, you should spot an open door as your Ghost chirps. Head out the door and immediately turn back around to spot the third wounded ghost above the door on a small ledge.
- Out into the green area, you find a large yellow framework. Locate the fourth wounded Ghost just under the large circle near the top.
Collecting all 4 wounded Ghosts causes "A Ghost's memory cries out in pain" to appear in your activity feed. Follow the path under the framework to find the last Prismatic chest.
Step into the capture point and hold your ground, defeating waves of enemies until it fills. Once complete, a Subjugator appears along with more enemies. Kill these enemies to lower the Subjugator's shield after the damage thresholds are met on its health bar.
The Overgrown Prismatic Key drops from this servant of the Witness. Use it to unlock the final Prismatic chest containing Facet of Mending.
