Spiritborn Spirit Hall
Last Updated:July 19, 2024|Change Log
The Spirit Hall is the Spiritborn's unique class mechanic that contributes to its identity. For the Spiritborn, the Spirit Hall allows you to bolster your build with bonus effects tied to the Spirit Guardian of your choice. These can significantly alter your playstyle, leading to many unique ways of playing your Spiritborn. The Spirit Hall unlocks at level 15 after doing a Spiritborn-only questline.
Unlocking the Spirit Hall
Once you reach level 15, you automatically start the Priority Quest "Sacred Hunt". Start the quest by talking to Tarka, in Gea Kul. This short quest line is a requirement to unlock the Specialization feature. This section will be updated once played through.
Spirit Hall Mechanics
The Spirit Hall is where you can really customize your Spiritborn playstyle. After completing the quest, you choose a Primary Spirit. These effects can enhance or change your playstyle, but more importantly, they give all skills in the skill tree that Skill Tag. For example, if you pick the Eagle Spirit as your Primary Spirit, all skills in your skill tree now have the Eagle Skill Tag. If you get an item that has +skill ranks to Eagle Skills, it now buffs all of your skills.
At level 30, you unlock the ability to choose a Secondary Spirit. This DOES NOT need to be the same as your Primary Spirit - if you selected Eagle as your Primary Spirit, you can choose Eagle, Gorilla, Centipede, OR Jaguar as your secondary. This allows you to double down on one Spirit or make your own hybrid spirit build.
Spirit Hall Spirit Effects
Each Spirit Guardian has unique Primary and Secondary spirit effects. You can only choose one Primary and one Secondary spirit at a time. This does not mean you need to pick the same spirit for both! Mixing and matching can create powerful builds.
Jaguar
- Primary Spirit - Every 4th time you deal direct damage to an enemy with a Jaguar Skill, unleash additional slashes dealing 100% of the damage of the 4 hits. All Skills are now also Jaguar Skills.
- Secondary Spirit - Maximum Ferocity is increased by 1. Gain 1 stack of Ferocity whenever you kill an enemy or damage a Boss.
Eagle
- Primary Spirit - Casting an Eagle Skill grants 2 Storm Feathers, up to a maximum of 8. When you Evade, all Storm Feathers are fired dealing 100% Lightning damage and making targets Vulnerable for 3 seconds. All Skills are now also Eagle Skills.
- Secondary Spirit - For every 4 meters you move, your Critical Strike Chance increases by 4%[+]. This bonus is reset 2 seconds after you Critically Strike.
Gorilla
- Primary Spirit - Casting a Gorilla Skill deals 100% Thorns to enemies you hit and grants a Barrier for 10% of Maximum Life, up to 40%, for 3 seconds. All Skills are now also Gorilla Skills.
- Secondary Spirit - Maximum Resolve increased by 2. When you have at least 5 stacks of Resolve, you are Unstoppable.
Centipede
- Primary Spirit - Hitting an enemy with a Centipede Skill reduces their Damage by 2.5% and Slows them by 10% for 3 seconds, stacking up to a maximum of 8 times. All Skills are now also Centipede Skills.
