Blight

Warning: This guide assumes you know how to farm Blight, and Eldritch Altars.
The Blight Currency Strategy is a great early game strategy to farm currency, Scarabs and Oils. This guide is focused on how to best farm the mechanic during early progression so it does not utilize rarer scarabs such as The Blight Scarab of Blightheart.
- Blight Content drops Oils, Blighted Maps and Currency.
- Scarabs, Blight summons a large number of Unique and Rare monsters which have a large chance to drop additional scarabs due to the passive tree choices.
Requirements
- Blight requires a build that is capable of completing challenging Blight encounters with multiple map mods. Anoint modifiers on your rings and build Freeze/Stun Towers to make the encounter easier.

Set-Up
PRO TIP: When setting up to run this strategy it is recommended that you purchase enough materials to complete a sizeable set of maps, failing to do this makes selling your drops far more difficult and you'll constantly be trading to purchase additional materials.
Map Choice
- Tier 16 Toxic Sewer - This is a very linear map which causes the Blight to condense the rewards into fewer chests. Due to Blight requiring at least one cluster of Blight Rewards, this results in much more Oils and Blighted Maps.
Map Device
- Eldritch Influence: Searing Exarch
- Map Device: N/A
NOTE: Searing Exarch is not mandatory for this strategy. The tree and choice of influence can be adjusted to accommodate the market if Eater of Worlds currency is substantially more expensive.

Atlas Passive Tree
Blight passives improve the encounters rewards as well as making it less challenging.
- If you are having difficulty with the speed of the encounter you can unspec Immune Response.
- Cassia's Pride can be used to make up for build weaknesses whilst you are farming currency or new gear, or if you just want to go full tower defense.
- Blightreach is a buff that is applied to your character after completing a Blight Encounter. It gives a chance for any maps dropped to become Blighted Maps, making it important to do the Blight as early as possible. For this strategy it is not crucial to ignore everything before doing the Blight.
- Templar Ingenuity allows you to disassemble towers after completing the encounter for additional currency. The more unique towers you create and upgrade, the more rewards you receive. It is currently unknown how rewarding this node is.
Eldritch Altars provide a constant flow of currency items.
Delve nodes grant access to Packed with Energy which grants a large character power buff for the duration of your map.
Gameplay
Rolling Maps
1. Clean Your Maps - Ensure all of your maps are identified and then use an Orb of Scouring to make them all normal rarity, since achieving 20% quality on white maps requires significantly less Cartographer's Chisels.
2. Chiseling - Use Cartographer's Chisels on all of your maps until each one is 20% quality.
3. Alchemy Orbs - Use Orbs of Alchemy on every map you have at 20% quality. Re-roll maps your character cannot run using Orb of Scouring and Orb of Alchemy.
Running Maps
Step 1 - Clear the map normally until you encounter the Blight.
Step 2 - Use Stun Towers combined with Empowering Towers to permanently stun any monster that is not Stun Immune. Meteor Towers and the "Your Meteor Towers create Burning Ground for 3 seconds on Hit" enchant on one of your rings provides more than enough damage to assist you in completing the encounter.
Step 3 - Clear the remainder of the map.
Step 4 - Kill the Map Boss.
