Crossbow / Dagger Leveling Build Guide
Last Updated:October 13, 2024|Change Log
Welcome to the Crossbow / Dagger Leveling Build Guide. This weapon combination is great once your core skills are unlocked due to its high burst potential. While Crossbow / Dagger combos can be very strong, early leveling may feel lackluster because core parts of your combos won't unlock until levels 25 - 30.
Crossbow / Dagger leveling is very similar to its normal PvE combos. You build stacks of Thunderclouds with Lightning Infusion and then explode them with Thunderclouds Bombing.
This weapon combination also has an AoE option by using Annihilation Barrage Shot. Pairing this AoE skill with Mother Nature's Protest and its skill augments deal a lot of damage at the cost of high Mana consumption. I don't recommend this AoE version for prolonged fights.

Stat Priorities
Use the following Stat Priority when following the Crossbow / Dagger Leveling Build Guide:
- Level 1 - 21
- 20 Dexterity
- Level 22 - 41
- 20 Strength
- This is for added survivability as Strength grants Defenses and Max Health.
- 20 Strength
- Level 42 - 50
- 9 Perception
- This is for a little bit of added Hit in case your gear isn't fully leveled up yet.
- 9 Wisdom
- If you aren't missing any skill attacks, then instead put points towards Wisdom for additional Weapon Damage and Mana.
- 9 Perception
You have 49 Stat Points you can freely allocate to any of the 4 primary Stats. Once you put 20 points into an individual Stat, it takes 2 points to increase the Stat by 1. These Stats gain additional bonuses when reaching breakpoints at 30, 40, 50, and 60. Do not put more than 20 points into a Stat unless necessary for specific stat breakpoints.
Resetting your Stat Points is completely free so feel free to reset and change whenever you feel it's necessary.
Key Leveling Notes
- Focus on the Main Story Quest as you level to 50.
- If the Main Story Quest requires a higher level to continue, complete Exploration Codex Quests for additional EXP.
- Before leaving Kastleton during Chapter 3, craft as much Green Gear as possible!
- When your story quests introduce you to Resistance Contracts, be sure to choose ones that give Quality Lithograph: Accessories first!
- Completing Rustic Mother Nature Rings early, grants the ability to use Lethal Fortune Ring while leveling.
- Be sure to use the Block Blade against Fury Attacks to regain Mana while killing mobs and leveling.
Gear Progression
The leveling process has been made easier since the launch of the Korean version. It doesn't matter what armor you craft as long as you upgrade it. The following gear set is recommended so you can dabble in PvP as well. Don't fret, PvP is not mandatory at all.
Towards Chapter 3, you start to get quests to craft items. Before heading to Urstella Fields, make sure to craft all the Green Items possible. After completing Chapter 4, there are enough Lithographs granted to craft the rest of your gear to have a full set of Green Items. If you have extra Quality Lithograph: Accessories, use them to complete the Elemental Rings Lithograph Book entry. Here are the recommended Items to craft.
Crossbow / Dagger Leveling Build

As you're leveling you receive some blue gear as rewards. While most of the time green gear with full traits tend to perform better than blue gear without traits, there are some items that give more valued stats through item effects as opposed to their fully traited green gear counterparts.
Codex Chapter Rewards
If you plan to PvP early in the game's launch and don't want to spend much Lucent, do not transfer the green gear you've crafted and upgraded. This is because green gear is cheaper to trait than blue gear early on.

Skill Rotation
Here are some examples of skills you should use when following the Crossbow / Dagger Leveling Build Guide:
- Stacking Thunderclouds from Lightning Infusion and then using Thunderclouds Bombing is your main damage skill while leveling once you unlock your Skill Specialization at level 30.
- Before unlocking your Skill Specialization your combo looks like this:
- Inject Venom, Mortal Mark, Quick Fire, Shadow Strike, Cleaving Moonlight, and finish with Brutal Incision.
- You can also make use of Annihilation Barrage Shot but it eats up your Mana when combined with Mother Nature's Protest.
- Use Nimble Leap to increase the damage of Quick Fire.
- To maintain the attack speed of Cleaving Moonlight, don't complete the 2nd attack.
- Selfless Diffusion will help to lower your cooldowns.
- Use multiple hit skills like Knife Throwing and Quick Fire in combination with Inject Venom to make use of Selfless Diffusion.
