Lantern Seed Festival Dynamic Event

The Lantern Seed Festival Dynamic Event takes place at the Nesting Grounds. This is the only Dynamic Event that is labeled as "Cooperative". Rankings are based on how many stages the server completes when participating in the event. The rewards scale up to four tiers, with each completed stage raising the reward tier by one.

Event Details

In Lantern Seed Festival, you work together with other members of your server to complete various challenges that are separated into 'Tiers'. The first challenge takes place from Tier 0 to Tier 1, the second from Tier 1 to Tier 2, and the third from Tier 2 to Tier 3.

The Broken Tradepack Carts

The first challenge that must be completed as a group is to collect Lantern Seeds from various Broken Tradepack Carts that are scattered around the map. Each cart takes time to interact with which can be sped up when multiple players interact with the same cart. When the interaction finishes, the player is provided with 30 Lantern Seeds and progress is made towards the next Tier.

Aside from the various carts, players can also kill mobs inside the event zone to collect Lantern Seeds. These collections do not count towards the Tier progression, and should be saved for the Tier 3 challenge.

Escort Quest

The second challenge that must be completed is escorting three NPC traders: Jeroy, Barney, and Sherman. These traders spawn as soon as the first challenge is completed, and must be protected from Potion Thiefs that spawn periodically to attack the merchants. Each Potion Thief drops a large amount of Lantern Seeds when killed. The traders can die quite fast but are able to be healed by other players. Be sure to plan accordingly. If the traders survive to the end of the escort, the second challenge will end and the third challenge will begin immediately.

Balloons

The third challenge takes place from Tier 2 to Tier 3 of the event, directly after the traders have been escorted. You must fill several Balloons with the various Lantern Seeds that you have collected so far. Each Balloon takes 50 Lantern Seeds to fill. Once filled, the Balloons will float off into the sky and a new Balloon will spawn in it's place.

The event continues until either the Tier progress bar has been filled or the event timer reaches 0. In either case, rewards are handed out based on how many Tiers you managed to complete as a group.

Rewards

For Co-op Events, you are ranked on how well you do as a server. There will be no Dominion, Peace or Guild Events for Lantern Seed Festival. You gain activity based on the number of Lantern Seeds you contributed to the Event. Rewards are based on the highest tier achieved by the server.

Ranking Updates occur after each merchant's 2x Receipt exchange ends.

At specific points, one of the three merchants exchanges double the Receipts for Lantern Seeds turned in, as noted above. For example, at 17 minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the event, either Jeroy, Barney, or Sherman announces that they will shortly hand out double Receipts. For 30 seconds, all merchant map icons are hidden and no Lantern Seeds are accepted. They will then walk a short distance away from their original location. In this example, at 17m 00s, their icon will reappear, and now 2x the Receipts can be exchanged for Lantern Seeds.

These double Receipt windows don't last long because there's a limited quantity they will hand out double for. Once all double Receipts have been given out, a ranking update will occur. There are two cycles of three Double Seed announcements, from 17 to 11 minutes and 8 to 2 minutes.
