Unique Items and Mythic Unique Items

Uniques and Mythic Uniques are the rarest items you can find in Diablo 4. They have powerful effects that can completely alter the way you play your character build. While they are harder to find than Legendary Aspects, they are not always the most powerful BiS (Best in Slot) gear. They also include flavor text, which provides lore surrounding these powerful items.

NEW Season 5 Unique and Mythic Items

Season 5 is receiving a MASSIVE overhaul of many Unique and Mythic items. EVERY item is getting an UPDATE this season. Full details are available in our patch notes breakdown and in the tables down below. (Note: Our backend database is updated post-season launch once we're able to confirm in-game representations of the items.) Additionally, Uber Unique items have been renamed and are now easily recognizable as the new purple Mythic Unique Items. For example, check out the new Tyrael's Might in all it's purple glory! Prepare yourself and your builds, this looks like a HUGE patch for these rare and highly sought after items!

How do Unique and Mythic drops work?

You can find most Uniques in any World Tier, but the best versions drop in World Tier 3: Nightmare (WT3) and World Tier 4: Torment (WT4). Uniques and Mythics can also be target farmed from endgame bosses, including Echo of Varshan, The Beast in the Ice, Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, Lord Zir, Duriel, King of Maggots, and Echo of Andariel. Some specific Uniques cannot drop until WT3, and Mythics cannot drop until monster level 55+.

What are Mythic Uniques?

Mythics are extremely powerful drops that are extraordinarily rare, even more rare than Uniques. These items are target farmable from Duriel, King of Maggots and Echo of Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, and from ALL Tormented versions of endgame bosses. While they can still drop from world drops, they are nearly impossible to find this way. Finally, you can craft Mythics so you won't be stuck farming them forever. Details on finding these include:

World Drop Mythic Details

• Enemy must be Level 55+.
• They can drop from anywhere you can get a regular Unique.
• They always drop at iPower 925.
• Some Mythics can only drop for certain classes (See Class Availability in the table below)

Tormented Boss, Duriel, and Andariel Mythic Drop Details

• Tormented Bosses, Duriel, and Andariel have 5 chances to drop a Mythic at 1.5% chance each. This means they can drop multiple Mythics at a time!
• Mythics always drop at iPower 925.
• Mythics always drop with maximum roll ranges on their affixes.
• Mythics can drop with Greater Affixes, just like regular Uniques can.

Crafting Mythics

Mythics are craftable by using 4 Resplendent Sparks. These crafting materials are acquired by either salvaging Mythics, or as a first-time reward for defeating the Tormented versions of endgame bosses. For more information, see our Alchemist guide.
