Open World Dungeons (Abyss Dungeons) Guide
Last Updated:October 14, 2024|Change Log
In Solisium, there are places called Abyss Dungeons, but players commonly call them Open World Dungeons. It's recommended that you delve into these dungeons in a party unless you out-gear or out-level the area. Some monsters in these dungeons are the only sources of precious loot, like Reaper's Footsteps.
Grinding Open World Dungeons is like doing Chaos Dungeons in Lost Ark. As long as you have Abyssal Contract Tokens, monsters you and your party kill drop gear, Precious Omnipotence Parchment, Precious Ores, and Sollant.
Dungeons are Peace zones during the day but become Conflict areas at night, meaning the entire Dungeon becomes PvP-enabled. Additionally, some Dungeons have their gates closed during nighttime, disallowing entry by more players or re-entry once you have died.
Open World Dungeons with multiple floors can be easily traversed using the Waypoints inside. Click the Waypoint found on any floor, and you can teleport to the other Waypoints on other floors.
Open World Dungeons (Lvl 50)
- Anecdotal evidence from multiple users suggests that drop chances are higher at night.
Some Open World Dungeons have Field Bosses that spawn at predetermined times. All Level 50 Open World Dungeon mobs drop Abyssal Aggregate which you can use to craft Precious Purification Stone, Precious Epic Lv. 2 Equipment Chest: Abyss, and Precious Epic Lv. 2 Equipment Chest: Desire.
Sanctum of Desire is an Open World Dungeon unlocked by Milestones. It is located to the right of the Manawastes region and is only accessible during the day and when it rains. Guilds can also have an Alt situated in the dungeon and use Guild Summon Gate to summon players into the dungeon at any time.

Quiz
For some codex quests, you must bypass gates by correctly guessing a quiz. Here are all possible statements that could be given to you that are either True or False statements. Ctrl + F a word if you're short on time!
True and False Statements
But, if you don't want to answer any quizzes, there are two shortcuts to bypass said gates to access the Altar of Darkness, Junobote's Book, and Avolos Umbramancer.
