Evade Eagle Spiritborn Endgame Guide

Season 6 - Season of HatredEndgame

Last Updated:October 12, 2024|Change Log|FAQ

Welcome to the Evade Eagle Spiritborn Endgame Guide. This build Evades through content at top speed. While most Spiritborn builds have good mobility, this one specializes in movement speed and evasion making it one of the fastest builds in the game. It deals damage almost exclusively from the Primary Spirit Hall Eagle and spamming Evade. The cooldown is 5 seconds which conveniently matches Thunderspikes cooldown reduction. Now I know what you are thinking, "Bob, you already made a Soar build how is this different?" Let me tell you. This build relies on your Eagle Primary to carry you through content as opposed to Soar & Recalling Feathers. Both builds are great, but they are different enough to require two distinct guides.

The key item that enables this build is Sepazontec. The idea is that when you Evade Accelerated Thunderspike casts Thunderspike resetting the cooldown of your Evade. Now you use the Eagle Primary Spirit Hall because the damage it does is insane. There are multiple ways to reset the cooldown. Here is the other option used in this guide.

Check Speedfarm for the The Devourer variant.

Check Mythic for the The Seeker variant.

!
You must have at least 2 Evade charges! You can get +1 Evade charge from the passive Acceleration. Located in the Potency Skill section behind Brilliance.

This build guide assumes you have a Level 60 Character and unlocked Torment 1. To get there, level up with one of our Spiritborn Leveling Guides. To see how this Build compares against others, check out our various Build Tier Lists.

Season Theme

Season 6 - Season of Hatred
Evade Eagle Spiritborn

Season 6 is the Season of Hatred Rising. It features the Zakarum Remnants faction which hunts Realmwalkers, massive behemoths that roam outdoor zones and beckon Mephisto's hellspawn. Participate in these zone events and take down the Realmwalkers to spawn a portal to a Seething Realm. There you can acquire Seething Opals, new consumables that stack with Elixirs for a XP buff and the chance to gather extra rewards when defeating enemies. The types of Opals are:

  • Seething Opal of Equipment
  • Seething Opal of Gold
  • Seething Opal of Materials
  • Seething Opal of Torment
  • Seething Opal of Socketables

Use these Opals at all times to earn reputation with the Zakarum Remnants faction and unlock further rewards.

Skills & Gameplay

Season 6 - Season of Hatred
Evade Eagle Spiritborn
  • Thunderspike provides a source of Vulnerable, and the 3rd hit resets your Evade cooldown. Therefore, when you Evade Accelerated Thunderspike reset Evades cooldown. If not, cast Thunderspike to reset Evades cooldown and repeat.
  • Soar is great for moving around the map making you that much faster.
  • The Seeker receives massive cooldown reduction from Loyalty's Mantle, and it's short duration allows us to use Intricacy more frequently. This also lets us build Supremacy stacks quickly, and increases the uptime of Resolution. Always cast Armored Hide right before casting The Seeker.
  • Armored Hide is your source for Unstoppable, Resolve, and 100% block chance. This must be active at all times in order to get more damage from Redirected Force, you might need to use Armored Hide duration temper. Side note you also get lucky hit chance & heal for each enemy you evade through.
  • Counterattack increases critical strike damage by up to 30% based on the number of close enemies. Paired with Mirage, dodging also boosts your critical strike chance almost all the time.
  • Ravager allows us to use Potent against bosses. This is great for us as our greatest weakness is single target damage.
!
Warning: Don't move between casting Armored Hide and The Seeker! If Tzic casts Concussive Stomp between Armored Hide and The Seeker you wont get free Armored Hide Casts!

Evade Eagle Spiritborn Endgame Skill Tree

Skill Rotation

  • Start with your buffs Ravager and Armored Hide followed by The Seeker.
    • Any time you would cast The Seeker, first cast Armored Hide!
  • Now you can cast Evade.
    • If Thunderspikes passive hits an enemy repeat.
    • otherwise cast Thunderspikes to reset Evades cooldown. Rinse and repeat.
  • (On Bosses) Before you start the boss fight:
    • Heal yourself.
    • Get Barrier from Auspicious.
    • Wait for your cooldowns to finish.

Spirit Halls

Primary: You bring the thunder, Eagle brings the lightning, or in this case the Storm Feathers.

Secondary: Eagle provides you with easy access to more critical strike chance.

Paragon & Glyphs

Important

Carefully check your Paragon Boards to ensure correct board rotation. Glyphs go from a radius of 3 to 4 at level 15 and from 4 to 5 at level 46. Some of them cannot be activated before reaching these thresholds! Progress through The Pit to rank up your Glyphs.

Use the slider to see progression steps. At around Paragon 200, leveling slows down significantly and all important Rare clusters, Legendary nodes and Glyph sockets should be unlocked. Afterwards, you can min/max your build with minor tweaks and by picking up additional smaller nodes.

  4. Talon
  5. Spirit

To Level 46

Runes

Season 6 - Season of Hatred
Evade Eagle Spiritborn

You can have up to two Runewords in your setup, each consisting of one Ritual and one Invocation Rune. Socket them in Two-Handed Weapons if your build calls for them, otherwise place them into your Armor pieces to replace normal gems. The Evade Eagle Spiritborn focuses on the following combos:

Best in Slot

  • Cem + Zec - Reduces your ultimate cooldown allowing for you to take advantage of  Intricacy more often. Armored Hide must always be active.
  • Bac + Que - Earthen Bulwark provides a Barrier for more survivability, and more importantly Viscous Shield!

Alternative choices

As long as you haven't unlocked the final setup or found the top runes, you can also benefit from these options:

  • Xal - For extra defense. Who doesn't want more health?
  • Wat - Decrepify helps with stagger, defense and allows you to execute enemies at 10% HP.
  • Tzic - casting Concussive Stomp gives you another Gorilla skill to keep Unyielding Hits active.
  • Gar - get additional Critical Strike Chance!

Mercenaries

Season 6 - Season of Hatred
Evade Eagle Spiritborn

Mercenaries are unlocked during the Vessel of Hatred campaign and assist you in battle. There are 4 separate Mercenaries to choose from, each with their own skill trees and abilities. You can have one hired (permanent) mercenary during solo play and a reinforcement who assists you from time to time in certain situations.

Hired: Raheir

He provides you with insane amount of survivability with Valiance. Raheir's Guard gives you extra armor if you haven't reached Unyielding Hits cap. Mocking Lure is another 15%[x] damage multiplier.

Reinforcement: Varyana

You choose Earth Breaker to repeatedly knock enemies down and build stagger.

Build Variants

Season 6 - Season of Hatred
Evade Eagle Spiritborn

This section is designed to guide your Evade Eagle Spiritborn from a fresh level 60 into the very late endgame using the three variants Starter, Ancestral and Mythic. At the final step, you should be fully decked out with a great all-rounder build. From there, follow the other min/max variants if you want to optimize around certain activities such as Pit Pushing, Speedfarming and more.

Pit Pushing

If you are fresh in Torment 1 coming from a leveling guide, you will need to acquire Sepazontec before starting this build. Since only some Aspects can be guaranteed from Dungeon unlocks for the Codex of Power, focus on acquiring the additional aspects via gambling with Murmuring Obols.

Gear & Skills

Starter Evade Eagle Spiritborn Gear
Starter Evade Eagle Spiritborn Skills
  • Early on in your progression, focus on armor & resistances to survive. Each Torment difficulty adds a 250 armor and 25% all res penalty and it's recommended to keep both capped (1000 armor, 70+ res) at all times. As you unlock higher power gear, masterworking levels and more paragon points, you naturally scale your character into the higher difficulties and can start replacing some of these rolls with offensive or utility stats.
  • Focus on acquiring Sepazontec before starting to play this build!
  • With this item every Thunderspike does its 3rd strike which resets evade cooldown.
  • Like a Tardigrade survivability has become your greatest weapon! Unyielding Hits turns your defense into offense! Overstacking armor to get as much damage out of it as possible!
  • You need to have 2 charges of Evade. Acceleration provides an extra charge.

The goal here is to progress through the Torment difficulties as you unlock Ancestrals, Paragon points, all Legendary Aspects, Temper mods and the most important Uniques to pilot this build. Some Legendary Aspects are used temporarily to fill slots that may be replaced with more Unique items later on.

Gear & Skills

Ancestral Evade Eagle Spiritborn Gear
Ancestral Evade Eagle Spiritborn Skills
  • As you upgrade your gear to ancestrals with more masterworking levels and reach higher paragon, you can focus more and more on replacing armor & resistance rolls with better stats, but ensure to stay capped at 1000 armor and 70%+ resistances for the difficulty you're currently in.
  • You don't have enough cooldown reduction to keep Armored Hide always active, so you use Interdiction to provided you with block chance to increase your damage from Redirected Force.
  • Wait for Auspicious to give you a Barrier.
  • Keep your buffs active to dodge (Counterattack) or block (Armored Hide).
  • Bossing:
    • Prioritize boss mechanics over Armored Hide rotation. Dead dps is zero dps!

This is the final version of the build's progression, including all regular Unique items, Mythic Uniques, Legendary Aspects, Temper mods and Masterworking, leaving you with a great all-rounder build for all content in the game. Additional variants use this as a baseline to optimize around certain activities.

Gear & Skills

Mythic Evade Eagle Spiritborn Gear
Mythic Evade Eagle Spiritborn Skills

This is The Seeker variant. Check Speedfarm for the The Devourer variant.

  • Dropping Rakanoth's Wake as you now have Tyrael's Might for resistance & damage reduction.
  • This will increase your defense significantly against elemental.
  • At 70% resistance we take 30% damage, at 85% resistance we take 15% damage.
  • 15% / 30% = 50% damage reduction, that is Massive!
  • We are adding the aspect of Binding Morass to our boots. Remember, if you get boots with extra evade charges you might not need points into Acceleration.
  • Bossing:
    • Prioritize boss mechanics over Armored Hide rotation. Dead dps is zero dps!
The second temper on the rings can be Focus Cooldown reduction, or if you switch to speed farming variant you could keep The Devourer cooldown reduction. There isn't a great choice here.

This Speedfarming variant optimizes the build for easy activities like Helltides, Whispers, Nightmare Dungeons and lower Pit Tiers after you have finished the Mythic variant and reached a plateau in your progression.

Gear & Skills

Speedfarm Evade Eagle Spiritborn Gear
Speedfarm Evade Eagle Spiritborn Skills

This is The Devourer variant. Check Mythic for the The Seeker variant.

  • This build is ridiculously quick, but to make speed farming more relaxed use The Devourer version of the build.
  • Switch the Ultimate you use from The Seeker to The Devourer.
  • Relocate Intricacy & Sustenance to Soar and Fueled.
  • You lose 100% up time on Armored Hide. In order to have crowd control break you want to grab Soar.
  • This build is more relaxed only casting The Devourer every 15 seconds or so.

This setup optimizes the build to push the highest possible Tiers in The Pit after you have finished the Mythic variant and reached a plateau in your progression.

Gear & Skills

Bossing Evade Eagle Spiritborn Gear
Bossing Evade Eagle Spiritborn Skills
  • When fighting monsters in high tiers of the Pit, remember that after crowd controlling elites for 5 seconds, they become Unstoppable for 8 seconds. This may be the right moment to start kiting them around because your damage done goes way down and they can freely retaliate.
  • For Pit Pushing it is suggested to change to the Exhilaration variant of this build to increase your damage.
    • Exhilaration provides a Lucky Hit Chance to reset Evade when you hit a vulnerable enemy.
    • Fists of Fate gives you a better chance to reset our Evade. Make sure you have a good lucky hit chance roll.
  • Touch of Death gives you another option for healing to increase your survival, as well as more Lucky Hit Chance.
  • You need as many Evade charges as possible because this version relies on lucky hits. You aren’t guaranteed to restore a charge every time you Evade. You might go multiple Evades without procing Exhilaration, but one skill can restore multiple evade charges when lucky hitting multiple targets.
!
Warning: Get as many charges as possible! 3 skill points into the Acceleration passive is required.

Evade Eagle Spiritborn is a fun highly mobile build that's great for speed farming, and strong enough to push pits! This might be the most fun build I've seen in a long time. Who needs to stop and attack when you can Evade, Soar, and sprint through all of the content!
